Okay, so, I’ve been on this quest for, like, super chill skin. You know, that effortless glow everyone seems to have? Yeah, well, mine was more like… effortless chaos. So I finally decided to buckle down and figure this out. My target, the legendary “hella chill skin bo6” look.

Phase 1: The Deep Cleanse
First things first, I ditched all those fancy, expensive cleansers. Seriously, they were probably making things worse. I switched to a super simple, gentle cleanser. Nothing with crazy fragrances or a million ingredients I couldn’t pronounce. Just basic, clean stuff.
I started double cleansing at night. Like, wash, rinse, repeat. Sounds extra, I know, but it really helped get all the gunk and makeup off. I used an oil-based cleanser first, then followed up with my regular gentle cleanser.
Phase 2: Hydration Station
Next up, hydration. My skin was thirsty, like, really thirsty. I found this awesome, thick moisturizer. Again, nothing fancy, just super hydrating. I slathered that stuff on morning and night, like my life depended on it. And I really started drinking more water during my day.
- Used a humidifier in my bedroom.
- Started carrying a water bottle everywhere.
Phase 3: The Exfoliation Experiment
Okay, this part was tricky. I knew I needed to exfoliate, but I also knew I could easily overdo it and end up with angry, red skin. So I opted for a chemical exfoliant, not one of those scrubby ones. I used a 15% AHA to get skin care. I started slow, using it just once a week, then gradually increased to twice a week.
Phase 4: Sunscreen is Your BFF
Sunscreen. Every. Single. Day. Even when it’s cloudy. Even when I’m just sitting inside by a window. I found a lightweight, non-greasy sunscreen that didn’t break me out. It’s a game-changer, I’m telling you.

Phase 5: Chill Out, Seriously
Finally, and this might be the most important part, I tried to stress less. Easier said than done, I know. But stress messes with your skin, big time. I started doing some basic yoga, taking more breaks during the day, and just generally trying to be more mindful. I’m getting better at not working through lunch, or at least walking while I eat.
So, after weeks, and a few minor setbacks (oops, over-exfoliated!), I’m finally seeing some “hella chill skin.” It’s not perfect, but it’s way better. It’s a journey, not a destination, right?
