Okay, guys, let’s talk about the Honda CBR650F. Today, I wanted to see just how fast this thing could go. I’ve heard different numbers thrown around, so I figured I’d put it to the test myself.

First off, I made sure the bike was in good shape. Checked the tires, oil, and all that jazz. Safety first, you know? Then, I found a nice, long, straight stretch of road. It was early in the morning, so there wasn’t much traffic. Perfect conditions for a little speed test.
I started off slow, getting a feel for the bike. It’s a 2014 model, and from what I gathered, it’s got around 86 horsepower. Not a beast, but definitely enough to have some fun. I gradually increased the speed, shifting through the gears. The engine sounded pretty good, a nice steady hum. This bike is powered by a 649cc four-cylinder engine, which provides a decent kick.
- First run, I hit about 180 km/h (roughly 112 mph). Not bad, but I felt like it had more to give.
- Second run, I pushed it a bit harder. I managed to get it up to 194 km/h (around 120 mph). That felt pretty fast, and the bike was still stable.
I read online that some folks claim it can reach 225 km/h (about 140 mph), but honestly, I didn’t feel comfortable pushing it that far. Maybe with a longer stretch and some modifications, it could, but I wasn’t about to risk it. The bike weighs about 211 kg, so it’s not the lightest, but it handles well.
After a few more runs, I called it a day. My top speed was around that 194 km/h mark. It’s a fun bike, and while it’s not a speed demon, it’s got enough power to make you smile. I’d say it’s a pretty good balance of performance and practicality, just like a lot of people say. It’s not a supersport, but for a street bike, it’s a solid choice. I saw some 2018 models also have around 90 horsepower and similar top speeds.
Anyway, that was my little experiment. Hope you found it interesting. Ride safe, everyone!
