Okay, so today I decided to tackle “goal film 3”. It’s something I’ve been putting off, but I finally just jumped in.

Getting Started
First, I gathered all my materials. You know, the usual stuff – camera, tripod, lights, and the script I’d kinda-sorta been working on. Honestly, the script was more like a bunch of ideas scribbled on a notepad, but hey, it’s a start, right?
Then, I set up the shot. This took a while because I’m a bit of a perfectionist (read: I fuss over things way too much). I wanted the lighting to be just right, you know, that perfect golden hour glow, even though it was the middle of the afternoon. Go figure.
The Actual Filming
Once everything was set, I started recording. It was… interesting. Let’s just say there were a lot of takes. A LOT. I kept messing up my lines, or the lighting would shift, or a random car would drive by and ruin the sound. It’s all part of the process, I guess.
- Take 1: Flubbed my lines. Classic.
- Take 2: Lighting was off. Ugh.
- Take 3: Neighbor’s dog started barking. Seriously?
- Take 4-10: Various combinations of the above.
But, I kept at it. I adjusted the lighting a few (dozen) times, moved the camera around, and re-wrote some of the dialogue on the fly. It wasn’t exactly what I had planned, but it started to feel… better. More real, maybe?
Wrapping Up
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I got a take I was happy with. It wasn’t perfect, but it felt good. It felt like something. And that’s what matters, right?

So, I packed everything up, feeling pretty accomplished. Even if the final product isn’t Oscar-worthy, I learned a lot, and I pushed myself to actually do something. And tomorrow, I’ll start editing. That’s a whole other adventure…
