Okay, so I wanted to get to know this golfer, Frankie Capan III, better. First, I pulled up his profile on a few sports websites to get the basic stuff.

Here’s what I did:
- Checked out his stats on a couple of sites to see how he’s been playing.
- Looked at his recent tournament results to get a feel for his current form.
- Dug into his major championship performances, ’cause who doesn’t love the big tournaments?
Then I found out some interesting tidbits about Frankie. Turns out, he’s from North Oaks, Minnesota, and he qualified for his second U.S. Open by doing great at a qualifier in North Carolina. This guy shot a 6-under-par over 36 holes. Not bad, right?
I also learned that he recently got his PGA TOUR card for 2025! He did really well in some tournament, which put him in the top 30 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List. He’s only the second guy from his college, FGCU, to make it to the PGA TOUR. That’s pretty cool.
College Days
Frankie started playing college golf at Alabama, but his sophomore year got messed up because of COVID. He ended up transferring to FGCU for his last two years. It seems like things worked out for him there!
So yeah, that’s what I found out about Frankie Capan III today. It was a bit of a rabbit hole, but a fun one. He seems like a golfer to keep an eye on, especially with him getting his PGA TOUR card.
