Okay, so, I’ve been trying to figure out this whole “foto marquez” thing. It’s been bugging me for a while, you know? I wanted to really nail down how to get those amazing, candid shots. So I started digging.

First off, I messed around with my phone. I mean, we all have these things in our pockets, right? Turns out, even without going crazy with settings, you can get some pretty decent pictures. I started by just snapping pics of everything – my cat, my coffee, the weird pattern the light makes on my wall in the afternoon. Just getting used to hitting that button.
Then, I tried to understand about angles. Seriously, I spent a good hour in front of the mirror, tilting my phone, trying to find my “good side.” It felt kinda silly, but hey, it’s all part of the process, right? I tilted the phone up, down, sideways, to see how it changed how my face looked. It’s surprising how much of a difference a slight tilt can make!
- Experimented with different poses – not just my face, but like, how I stood, where I put my hands.
- Played with the lighting. I noticed that the light from my window in the morning made me look way better than the harsh overhead lights in my kitchen.
- Tried to get some natural shots of my friends without them feeling awkward. I wanted the pictures to show how they really are, without the picture taking part feeling forced.
Next, I learned about this “tick-tack-toe” thing for framing shots. Imagine a grid on your screen, and you try to put the main thing you’re photographing where the lines cross. I tried it with my cat, with a vase of flowers, even with a half-eaten sandwich. It’s weird, but it really does make the pictures look a bit more interesting. And it is very funny to see my cat in different position of the photos.
I also messed around with the “burst mode” on my phone. You know, where you hold down the button and it takes a bunch of pictures really fast? That was a game-changer for getting action shots. My dog running in the park, my friend laughing, those moments that are gone in a flash – burst mode helped me grab them. It is very convenient!
Honestly, it was a lot of trial and error. Some pictures were awful, some were okay, and a few were actually pretty good! But the main thing is, I actually got my phone to take better pictures. And I figured out how to get those “foto marquez” type shots I wanted, just by trying different things and seeing what worked. It was a fun little experiment, and I’m definitely going to keep playing around with it.
