Okay, so I finally got my hands on a Triumph Daytona T595. It’s been a dream bike of mine for ages, and I wanted to share my experience getting it sorted.

First things first, I found one online. It wasn’t in perfect condition, which was fine by me because I wanted a project. I drove out to pick it up – a bit of a road trip, but totally worth it.
Once I got it home, I gave it a good once-over. The fairings had some scratches, and the tires were pretty worn. The engine sounded okay, but I knew it needed some TLC.
My To-Do List:
- Change the oil and filter.
- Replace the spark plugs.
- Check the chain and sprockets.
- Bleed the brakes.
- Get new tires.
- Fix those darn fairing scratches.
I started with the basics. The oil change was straightforward – nothing fancy there. I popped in some new spark plugs, and that seemed to perk up the engine a bit.
The chain and sprockets looked okay, just needed a good clean and lube. I scrubbed them down and applied some chain lube. Then, I moved on to the brakes. They felt a little spongy, so I bled them, which made a huge difference.
The tires were next. I ordered a new set online and took the wheels to a local shop to get them mounted and balanced. While the wheels were off, I tackled the fairing scratches. I used some touch-up paint and a bit of polishing compound. It’s not perfect, but it looks way better.

Finally, I put everything back together and took it for a spin. Man, what a difference! It ran smoother, stopped better, and just felt more solid overall. I’m still planning on doing a few more things, like maybe upgrading the suspension, but for now, I’m just happy to be riding it.
