Okay, so I decided to check out the Sugarhouse fireworks for 2024. I’d heard good things about it, so I was pretty stoked. The first thing I did was try to figure out where exactly I was going to watch it, and figure out parking.

Planning My Trip
I knew it would be at Sugar House Park, but figuring out parking ahead of time seemed important. I didn’t want to get stuck in the situation where I drive around for an hour to get a parking space.
I searched around, and also asked a few friends, who went to the same event last year, about the best places to park. I found some useful information, such as, it’s better to come super early to get the best parking space, but I didn’t have that much time to do so.
Getting There
I packed some snacks, grabbed a blanket, and made my way to Sugarhouse. I got there way earlier than I expected. Traffic wasn’t too bad, surprisingly. I guess I just happened to hit a good time.
Finding a Spot
I drove around a bit, looking for a good place to park, and it was a bit chaotic, but not as bad as I’d feared. I managed to find a spot a little walk away from the main event area. It worked out pretty well.
Enjoying the Atmosphere
I found a decent spot on the grass, laid out my blanket, and just soaked in the atmosphere. There were tons of people, families with kids, couples, groups of friends. Everyone was just chilling, waiting for the show to start. There was music playing, people were tossing frisbees…it was a really good vibe.

The Fireworks!
Finally, it got dark enough, and the fireworks started. They were awesome! Seriously, really impressive. Lots of big, colorful explosions, some cool shapes, and a really grand finale. It was a decent length too, not too short, not too long.
- Pros: Great fireworks, good atmosphere, lots of energy.
- Cons: Parking is hard, crowded.
Overall, it was a fun experience. It’s definitely something I’d do again. And I was very satisfied with the quality of fireworks.
