Okay, so yesterday I decided to hit up Pointe Royale Golf Course in Branson, MO. I’d heard good things, and I was itching to get out on the green.
Getting Started
First things first, I checked the weather. Looked like a perfect day, sunny with a slight breeze – couldn’t ask for better golfing conditions. Then I checked the availability of the course. Then I booked a tee time online. Super easy, just a few clicks and I was all set.
On the Course
I arrived a bit early to warm up. Hit a few balls at the driving range, practiced my putting – you know, the usual pre-game routine. The course itself looked amazing. Really well-maintained, with lush fairways and fast greens.
- Hole 1: Started off with a decent drive, but my second shot landed in the bunker. Ugh. Managed to salvage a bogey, though.
- Holes 2-5: Played pretty consistently, mostly pars with a birdie on the 4th. Feeling good!
- Hole 6: This one was a beast. Long par 5 with water on the left. I played it safe, stayed dry, but ended up with a double bogey. Gotta work on those longer holes.
- Holes 7-18Kept my focus, played it safe and smart. Some holes are beautiful.
Wrapping Up
Finished the round feeling pretty good. I play better than I did last week, I think that’s because I choose to keep my mind focused. The scenery at Pointe Royale was outstanding, made the whole experience even better.
Afterward, I grabbed a quick bite at the clubhouse. Nothing fancy, just a burger and fries, but it hit the spot. Overall, it was a fantastic day of golf. I’d definitely recommend Pointe Royale to anyone looking for a challenging, but enjoyable course in Branson.
