So, I got into this quest in FF14 called “The Greatest Story Never Told.” It sounded pretty cool, like a big treasure hunt or something. This dude, Valiant Hart, asked me to help him find some secret treasure. Apparently, it belonged to this old ruler, Lalafuto III, who was in charge of Belah’dia like 700 years ago. Sounds ancient, right?

I started digging into it, following the clues and all that. It felt like one of those old-school adventure movies. You know, the ones where you gotta find hidden messages and solve puzzles.
The Search Begins
- First Clue: I got this first clue, and it sent me running around, checking different spots. It wasn’t easy, I tell you. I spent a good chunk of time just figuring out where to go next.
- Exploring Around: Then I spent a few hours walking around, following more clues. The game’s world is huge, so it took a while. I was searching every corner, looking for anything that might be a hint.
Honestly, I thought it would be a quick thing. You know, find a map, follow X, get treasure. But nope, it turned into this whole day thing. I was running around, talking to different folks in the game, trying to piece together this puzzle. The places were cool and all, but man, it was a lot of legwork.
Solving Puzzles
There were these puzzles I had to solve. They weren’t super hard, but they weren’t exactly a walk in the park either. They made me think, which was kind of cool, I guess. I had to look up some guides online cause some of them got pretty tricky, not gonna lie. I was like, “Okay, how did people even figure this out?” But yeah, after some trial and error, and a bit of help from the internet, I managed to crack them.
The Reward
Finally, after all that running around and puzzle-solving, I finished the quest. And you know what I got? 10 Gil. Yeah, that’s it. And some achievement that doesn’t really give you anything. I was like, “Seriously? That’s it?” I mean, I spent hours on this thing. I was expecting something, you know, a bit more exciting. It felt like a bit of a letdown, to be honest. I was thinking maybe I could have spent my time better, like farming or grinding for better stuff.
But hey, it was an experience, I guess. Not the most rewarding one, but still something. It’s like, now I can say I did it, but I’m not sure if I’d recommend it to anyone else. Unless you really like puzzles and running around a lot, maybe give this one a pass.
