So, I plugged “CARRION” into the crossword, and bam, it fit! Five letters, starting with “C”, and it described exactly what those scavengers are after. I felt pretty smart, not gonna lie. It wasn’t a huge victory, but it was satisfying to crack that clue. I just know that if I didn’t remember the word “carrion”, I would be stuck there for much longer.
It just goes to show that even a simple crossword clue can take you on a little mental journey. You start with a vague idea, do some digging in your brain, and finally, the answer hits you.
