Explore the World of Ramon Preciado (Easy to read)

Okay, so I stumbled upon this “Ramon Preciado” thing and decided to give it a shot. I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t have a clue what I was getting into at first.

The Start

I started by, well, searching “Ramon Preciado.” Sounds obvious, right? I needed to figure out what this whole deal was about. Was it a person? A place? A band? I honestly had no idea.

Turns out, Ramon Preciado is a guitar player! I found some videos, some articles… a whole bunch of stuff. I figured, “Hey, I’ve always wanted to learn to play guitar, maybe this is my sign!”

The Deep Dive

So, I started watching these videos. This guy, Ramon, he’s good. Really good. I was a bit intimidated, to be honest. I mean, I can barely play “Mary Had a Little Lamb” on a recorder, let alone shred on a guitar like that.

I decided to focus on some of his beginner-friendly stuff. Thankfully, he had some tutorials online. I grabbed my dusty old acoustic guitar (that I bought years ago with big dreams and zero follow-through) and got to work.

The Struggle is Real

  • First step: Tuning the damn thing. I spent like an hour just trying to get the strings to sound right. My fingers were already hurting!
  • Next: Learning basic chords. Oh boy. My fingers felt like they were going to fall off. And the sounds I was making? Let’s just say my dog was not impressed.
  • Practice, practice, practice: I tried to dedicate at least 30 minutes a day to practicing. Some days were better than others. Some days, I just wanted to throw the guitar out the window.

Slowly But Surely

It’s been a few weeks now, and I’m not going to lie, it’s still tough. But, I can actually play a few chords now! And I can almost sort of kind of play a simplified version of one of Ramon’s easier songs. It’s not perfect, but it’s progress!

My fingers still hurt, my dog still gives me the side-eye, and I’m nowhere near as good as Ramon Preciado. But, I’m having fun (most of the time), and I’m learning something new. And that’s gotta count for something, right?
