Okay, so today I decided to tackle “North Hill Road”. It sounded simple enough, just a road, right? But I wanted to see if I could really capture its essence, its vibe.

First, I grabbed my camera and headed out. It was a pretty average day, a bit overcast, which I actually liked. It gave everything a softer, more muted look. I started at one end of the road, not really knowing what to expect. I just walked, keeping my eyes open.
My observations
- The houses.
- There some cars.
- The street signs and some other things.
I tried different angles, getting down low, shooting upwards, trying to find something that felt… right. I played around with the light, seeing how it hit the leaves on the trees, the way it reflected off the windows of the houses. I wanted to feel the road, to convey that feeling through pictures.
Then I experimented with different settings on my camera. I adjusted the aperture to blur the backgrounds, focusing on specific details like a weathered mailbox or a crack in the pavement. I bumped up the ISO a bit to compensate for the lower light, making sure I didn’t lose any of the texture.
Finally, take a lot of photos. That’s it. I think I got some decent shots.
