Okay, so I finally got around to tackling all the achievements in Elden Ring. It was a grind, but totally worth it. Let me walk you through my journey.

Phase 1: Blind Playthrough & Main Story Stuff
- First thing’s first, I just played the game. No guides, no spoilers. Pure, blissful ignorance.
- Focused on the main story, beat all the mandatory bosses like Margit, Godrick, Rennala, etc. Got those story-related achievements naturally.
- Didn’t worry too much about exploring every single nook and cranny. Just enough to keep me leveled and geared.
- Ended up with the “Elden Lord” ending on my first go.
Phase 2: Completionist Time
- Okay, time to get serious. Checked a list of all the achievements and saw I was missing a bunch of boss ones, legendary weapon ones, and endings.
- Started cleaning up the optional bosses. Rykard, Malenia, Mohg – you name it, I hunted it down. Some of those fights were brutal!
- Used a guide (reluctantly) to find all the legendary weapons, talismans, and ashes of war. There’s no way I would have found some of those on my own.
- Spent hours farming upgrade materials. Those Somber Smithing Stones and Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones are a pain to get.
Phase 3: Ending Hopping (New Game Plus!)
- Time for the other endings. I didn’t want to replay the whole game from scratch, so I went into New Game Plus (NG+).
- Rushed through the main story again, skipping most of the side content. Just focused on getting to the end.
- Got the “Age of Stars” ending with Ranni’s questline. That one’s pretty cool.
- Then did another playthrough in NG+ for the “Lord of Frenzied Flame” ending. That one’s… intense.
Phase 4: The Final Grind
- After all that, I only had a few miscellaneous achievements left. Mostly stuff like reaching max level on a weapon or spirit ash.
- Spent some time just farming runes to level up my gear. It’s tedious, but necessary.
- Finally, after what felt like forever, I unlocked the last achievement! Platinum trophy, here I come!
Lessons Learned
- Elden Ring is HUGE. Don’t expect to get all the achievements in one playthrough.
- Guides are your friend, especially for finding hidden items and quests.
- Don’t be afraid to use summons to help you with tough bosses.
- Take breaks! Elden Ring can be exhausting.
Overall, it was an epic experience. Challenging, rewarding, and unforgettable. Now, what game should I platinum next?
