Okay, so “Los Tres Caminos,” which just means “The Three Paths” in Spanish. Sounds simple, right? Well, it turned out to be quite an adventure.

I started out this project thinking, “I just want to try something new.” I saw this phrase, “Los Tres Caminos,” and it got me thinking about choices and life paths.
First, I just started to gather some stuff.
- I grabbed a notebook.
- Found some colorful pens.
- Even dusted off my old watercolor set.
Then, I started brainstorming what each path could represent.
- One path, I figured, could be about career.
- Another could be about personal growth, you know, like learning new things.
- And the last one? Relationships, like friends and family.
I began sketching out some ideas in my notebook. Stick figures, mostly. I doodled little scenes, like a person choosing between a briefcase and a backpack, or a book and a yoga mat.
Next, I decided to make it a bit more visual. I painted three separate paths on a big sheet of paper. Each path had its own color: blue for career, green for personal growth, and red for relationships.
Then I started adding little details to each path. For the career path, I drew a tiny office building and some graphs going up. I even added a little ladder to show progress.
For the personal growth path, I painted some mountains to climb and a winding road. I even threw in a graduation cap to symbolize learning.
And for the relationships path, I drew stick figures holding hands, a heart, and even a little house with a family inside.
I spent hours on this, just adding details and making it look, well, not perfect, but like my own mess of ideas. Some days I’d just stare at it, wondering what else I could add.
I even showed it to my friend, Maria. She laughed at my stick figures but said she liked the idea. She even suggested adding some quotes along each path.
So I did! I scribbled some quotes that I thought fit each path. Stuff like, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do” for the career path, and “Be the change you wish to see in the world” for the personal growth path.
After all that, I hung it up on my wall. It’s not some masterpiece, but it’s a good reminder, you know? A reminder that we always have choices, and each path has its own ups and downs.
What I Realized
This whole “Los Tres Caminos” thing wasn’t just about making a pretty picture. It got me thinking about my own life choices. It made me realize that it’s okay to switch paths sometimes, or even walk on multiple paths at once. I mean, I started this thing thinking it would be a simple project, and it ended up being a whole reflection on life. Kind of funny how that works, huh?
Anyway, that’s my little adventure with “Los Tres Caminos.” Hope you liked hearing about it. Maybe it’ll inspire you to think about your own paths, too.
