Alright, let’s talk about this Kyle Kuzma style thing I tried.
So, I kept seeing pictures of Kuzma rolling into games, you know? The outfits are⦠bold. Some are really out there, some are kinda cool. Got me thinking, could a regular guy pull off something similar? Not the super high-fashion expensive stuff, obviously, but the vibe. So, I decided to give it a shot myself, just see what happens.
Getting Started: The ‘Research’
First thing, I just started saving pictures. Went through a bunch of his looks online. It wasn’t like super serious research, more like scrolling and screen-shotting fits that caught my eye. What I noticed pretty quickly was:
- Lots of oversized stuff. Big sweaters, jackets, really baggy pants.
- Color. He doesn’t shy away from bright pinks, greens, whatever.
- Interesting shapes and textures. Not just your basic jeans and t-shirt.
- Accessories matter. Bags, glasses, hats ā they complete the look.
Seemed like the key was confidence and just putting pieces together in unexpected ways.
Trying to Find the Stuff
Okay, finding clothes. This was the tricky part. I wasn’t about to drop thousands on designer gear. My goal was to get the feel using stuff I already had or could find reasonably cheap. I went through my closet first. Pulled out my baggiest pants, any colorful sweaters, that sort of thing. Then I did some online searching, thrift store digging.
Man, finding the right kind of oversized wasn’t easy. A lot of stuff just looked sloppy, not intentionally oversized like his fits. And getting the colors right without looking like a cartoon character? Also tough. I picked up a couple of things ā a really large knit sweater, some wider-leg trousers ā just to experiment.

Putting it Together: The Experiment
This is where it got kinda funny. I started trying to combine things. That huge pink sweater I found? Paired it with some baggy black pants. Looked in the mirror. Okay⦠it was definitely different. Felt a bit strange, honestly. Not bad, just not my usual comfort zone.
Tried another combo: wider trousers, a graphic tee, and an open oversized shirt-jacket thing I had. Added some sunglasses I rarely wear. This one felt a little better, a bit more grounded but still pushing it for me.
The hardest part was feeling natural. You see Kuzma wearing this stuff and he looks like he owns it. Me? I felt a bit like I was playing dress-up in my own bedroom. Took some pictures just for myself to see how it looked. Some angles were okay, others⦠not so much.
So, What Happened?
Did I nail the Kyle Kuzma fit? Absolutely not. Not even close, really. His style is very specific, and frankly, probably needs a certain physique and attitude (and budget!) to pull off properly.
But it was a fun experiment. It pushed me to try combinations I never would have thought of. I realized finding truly good oversized pieces that fit well (in their oversized way) is harder than it looks. And honestly, while I admire his confidence, head-to-toe isn’t really me.

What I did take away was maybe incorporating small elements. Maybe trying slightly wider pants sometimes. Or throwing on a more colorful piece than I usually would. Not the whole extravagant look, but maybe a little bit of that fearless approach.
So yeah, that was my little adventure into trying the Kuzma style. Mostly stayed in my house, didn’t scare anyone on the street. It was an interesting process, learned a bit, and ended up back in my regular clothes feeling pretty comfortable.
