Darnold on week 6 waiver wire: Should you pick him up if available? Lets analyze.

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with fantasy football for a while now, and I always get a kick out of trying to find those hidden gems on the waiver wire. You know, the guys that nobody’s really paying attention to, but could suddenly blow up and win you a week. This week, I had a hunch about Sam Darnold, the QB for the Jets. I know, I know, the Jets haven’t exactly been lighting up the scoreboard, but I saw something in Darnold that made me think he might be worth a shot.

Darnold on week 6 waiver wire: Should you pick him up if available? Lets analyze.

So, I went ahead and picked him up. It was a bit of a gamble, especially since I had to drop a decent backup to make room on my roster. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right? Taking risks and seeing if they pay off. Besides, Darnold was available in pretty much every league I’m in, so it wasn’t like I was stealing him from someone else.

The Process

  • Checking Availability: First thing I did was check all my leagues. Darnold was a free agent in most of them.
  • Making the Drop: This was the tough part. I had to drop a backup QB I was kinda liking. But I figured Darnold had more upside.
  • Adding Darnold: Smooth sailing here. Just a couple of clicks, and he was on my team.
  • Waiting Game: Now comes the hard part – waiting to see if my gamble pays off. Week 6 is gonna be interesting.

I spent the next few days watching highlights of Darnold’s past games, trying to convince myself I made the right move. He’s got a strong arm, and he’s not afraid to take shots downfield. Plus, he’s been showing some improvement lately. Of course, there’s always the chance that he’ll just be the same old Darnold, but I’m willing to bet on his potential. I even read some articles about waiver wire pickups, and a few mentioned Darnold as a sleeper. That made me feel a little better about my decision.

Finally, game day arrived. I was glued to the TV, watching every Jets offensive play. And you know what? Darnold didn’t disappoint. He threw for over 300 yards and a couple of touchdowns. He even ran one in himself! It wasn’t a perfect performance, but it was definitely good enough to win me my matchup. I was ecstatic! My gamble had paid off, and I was one step closer to fantasy football glory.

Now, I’m not saying Darnold is gonna be a superstar every week. But this experience just goes to show that sometimes, taking a chance on a waiver wire pickup can really make a difference. It’s all about trusting your gut, doing your research, and hoping for a little bit of luck. And hey, even if it doesn’t work out, it’s still fun to try. That’s what fantasy football is all about, right?
