Okay, so the other day I was digging into baseball stats, because, you know, why not? And I stumbled upon the 2016 Chicago Cubs season. I mean, we all remember them breaking the curse, right? But I wanted the actual numbers, the nitty-gritty. So, I started my little quest.

The Initial Search
First, I just fired up my trusty search engine. Typed in “cubs 2016 record” and, boom, tons of stuff popped up. It was almost too much information at first. You know how it is, sometimes the internet just throws everything at you.
Filtering Down
I sifted through the initial results. I didn’t want game-by-game breakdowns just yet. I needed the overall picture, the big, bold regular-season record. I saw some sports news sites and knew those would probably have what I was looking for, so I started clicking.
Finding the Gold
After checking out a couple of different sites, I found it. Plain as day. The number was right there, I saw it :103-58.Yep.103 wins and 58 losses and one tie(it’s weird,I known).
That’s an amazing record!

Deeper Dive (Optional)
Then, because I’m a curious person. I started looking at some of the other stats. I checked out their home record versus their away record, just to see how they did in different environments. I even looked at some individual player stats, because, hey, might as well, right? I got them :
- Home Record: 57-24
- Away Record: 46-34
Wrapping It Up
So, that was my little adventure in finding the Cubs’ 2016 record. It wasn’t exactly rocket science, but it was fun to track down the information and remind myself just how dominant that team was. Now I can impress my friends with my random baseball knowledge! Mission accomplished.
