Bruce Springsteen & E Street Band Hit Citizens Bank Park: Fan Reviews.

Okay, so last night was the night! I finally got to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band live at Citizen’s Bank Park. I’ve been a fan for, like, forever, and this was a bucket-list item for sure. I snagged tickets the moment they went on sale, months ago, and I’ve been buzzing with anticipation ever since.

First, I dug out my old Springsteen t-shirt. It’s a bit faded, seen better days, but it felt right. Then I checked the weather, like, five times. It looked good, maybe a little warm, but clear skies. Perfect concert weather!

Getting There

  • I decided to take public transportation, because parking near the stadium is always insane.
  • The train was packed, naturally, full of other excited fans.
  • I made small talk with some folks, comparing favorite albums and songs.
  • Finally made my way to the stadium.

The atmosphere was electric. You could feel the energy just walking up to the stadium. People everywhere, singing, laughing, just generally having a good time. I grabbed a hot dog and a beer (gotta have a stadium hot dog, right?) and found my seat. It was a pretty good view, not too far back, and I could see the stage clearly.

The Show

The lights went down, the crowd roared, and then…BAM! There they were! Bruce and the band! They kicked things off with an old favorite, and the place just exploded. The energy was incredible, and the band sounded amazing. They played all the classics, of course, “Born to Run,” “Thunder Road,” “Dancing in the Dark”…you name it.

Bruce, he’s just a force of nature. He ran around the stage, jumped, sang his heart out. The band was tight, Clarence Clemons’s nephew filling in on sax, and doing a fantastic job.

I Sang and danced along to every song, of course.

It was just an unforgettable night. Three hours of pure rock and roll bliss. When they finally finished, I was exhausted, but in the best way possible. I walked out of the stadium with a huge grin on my face, already looking forward to the next time I can see them live.
