Man, I’ve been glued to the NFL playoffs this year. It’s been a wild ride, and I just had to share my experience figuring out the whole schedule format.
So, first off, I started digging into how many teams even make it to the playoffs. Turns out, it’s 14 teams in total – seven from each conference, the AFC and the NFC. These teams battle it out until only two are left standing, and those two go head-to-head in the Super Bowl. This year it’s Super Bowl LIX, and it’s going down in New Orleans. I got all this info, and then I started to look into when the games were gonna happen.
Next, I started putting together the actual schedule. This is where it got interesting. I found some early results – like, I saw that on Saturday, January 11th, the Texans played against the Chargers. It was a crazy game! The Texans fell behind early, but ended up winning 32-12. I made a note of that one in my tracker.
Then I had to keep track of the divisional round results. That round recently finished, so I updated my notes with who won and who lost.
I also learned that the championship games are all set. Man, those were some intense matchups! I wrote down the dates and who was playing who. I even jotted down some betting odds I found, just for fun. Like, for Super Bowl LIX, it’s Philadelphia vs. Kansas City, and the Chiefs were favored by 1.5 points. Just goes to show how much detail I went into.

By the end, I had a complete tracker of the entire playoff schedule, all the way up to Super Bowl LIX. It wasn’t easy keeping up with all the games, but I managed to stay on top of it. And you know what? It made watching the playoffs so much more exciting.
It was a blast following the road to Super Bowl LIX. It was a real journey!
Following the NFL playoffs has been an awesome experience. This format, with 14 teams battling it out, just makes every game feel so important. And tracking it all myself? That made it even more special. Definitely going to keep doing this for future seasons!
