Alright, so the other day I was feeling all nostalgic, right? Thinking back to the good old days of football, and it hit me – the 1993 NFL playoffs. Man, those were some games! So, I got this itch to just dive back into that season and see what I could dig up.

First thing I did was hit up my go-to spot for sports stats. You know, the one with all the numbers and game results you could ever want? Yeah, that one. I typed in “NFL playoffs 1993” and boom, there it was. A whole bunch of info on every single game from that postseason.
Getting Started: The Wild Card Round
I started with the Wild Card games because, why not? Those are always a wild ride, right? I clicked on the first one I saw, which I think was the Los Angeles Raiders against the Denver Broncos.
- Clicked through the game summary.
- Checked out the box score. Man, those old-school box scores, am I right?
- Looked at some play-by-play details. It’s crazy how much detail they had, even back then.
I went through each Wild Card game like that, just soaking it all in. Remembering some of the players, the big plays, and all that jazz. It’s funny how you forget some of this stuff over the years.
Next Up: The Divisional Round
After the Wild Card games, I moved onto the Divisional Round. These games were even more intense. I mean, you’re getting closer to the Super Bowl, so the stakes are higher, you know?
- Clicked on each game, one by one.
- Read through the summaries, reliving the excitement.
- Checked out the stats for each team and their star players.
I spent a good chunk of time on this part. Just going back and forth, comparing the games, and remembering how I felt watching them back in the day.

The Conference Championships
Now, these were the real deal. The Conference Championships. I mean, you win these, and you’re in the Super Bowl! I remember these games being super close and really exciting. I wanted to see if they lived up to my memory.
- Opened up the details for both the AFC and NFC Championship games.
- Scrolled through the play-by-play, almost like I was watching it live again.
- Looked at the final scores and just, you know, took it all in.
These games didn’t disappoint. They were just as thrilling as I remembered. It made me wish I could go back in time and experience it all over again.
Finally: Super Bowl XXVIII
And then, of course, there was the Super Bowl. The big one. Dallas Cowboys vs. Buffalo Bills. I remember this one so clearly, I spent a good amount of time just reading every detail I could find about this game.
- Clicked on the Super Bowl XXVIII link, obviously.
- Read the game summary, like, three times.
- Went through the box score, player by player.
- Checked out the scoring summary.
It was a great game, even though it was a bit one-sided. But still, it was a fun trip down memory lane. I ended up spending, I don’t know, a couple of hours just going through all this stuff. It was a blast. It’s amazing how much you can find online these days. And how much fun it can be to just look back at some old sports history. Definitely recommend it if you’re a football fan and you’ve got some time to kill.
