Okay, folks, let’s talk about my latest project. I’ve been messing around with this idea for a while now, and I finally got it to where I want it. It’s all about making a cool wallpaper featuring Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert. These two are like the dynamic duo of the Chargers right now, and I wanted to capture that energy.

So, first things first, I needed some good pictures. I scoured the internet for action shots, you know, the kind that really show them in their element. I found a bunch of pictures from games, especially that one against the Raiders where they were celebrating. That was a goldmine! I also stumbled upon some cool quotes from Harbaugh about Herbert, calling him “one of the best” and all that good stuff. That was just the kind of stuff to use for inspiration.
Next, I started messing around with different layouts. I wanted to make sure both Harbaugh and Herbert were featured prominently, but I also wanted it to look clean and not too cluttered. I played around with a few different designs, using some photo editing software that I’ve gotten pretty good at using, no fancy Photoshop stuff, just basic editing.
One idea I had was to split the wallpaper in half, with Harbaugh on one side and Herbert on the other. I tried that out, and it looked alright, but it didn’t quite capture what I was going for. It felt a little too… separated, you know? I wanted something that showed them more as a team, which is what they are.
I also experimented with adding some text to the wallpaper. I thought about using some of those quotes I found, but I ultimately decided against it. I figured the pictures spoke for themselves, and adding text would just make it look too busy, so I ditched that idea.
Finding the Right Mix
- Experimented with color schemes: I played with the Chargers’ colors, blue and gold, and tried out different shades and combinations.
- Focused on action shots: I selected photos that showed both Harbaugh and Herbert in action, to capture their energy and passion.
- Adjusted the brightness and contrast: I tweaked the images to make sure they popped and looked good together.
After a lot of trial and error, I finally settled on a design that I really liked. I ended up using a picture of Herbert celebrating a play with Harbaugh right there with him. It’s a great shot that really shows their connection. I positioned them in the center of the wallpaper, and then I added a subtle background that complements the colors of their uniforms.

The final product, I gotta say, I’m pretty happy with it. It’s got that raw energy and camaraderie that makes these two so fun to watch. It’s simple, it’s clean, and it really showcases Harbaugh and Herbert in a way that feels authentic. It’s just them, being awesome, in one picture, on my desktop now. And I think that is pretty neat.
I did this all by myself, no outsourcing or anything, just pure me messing around my computer, it’s not rocket science, you guys can do it too!
