Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post in the style you requested, about “braves 2023 stats”:

So, I’m a huge Braves fan, right? And every year, I get super hyped about diving into the stats. Last year, 2023, was insane. I mean, seriously, the team was on fire! So, I wanted to really dig in and see what made them so good. This is what I did.
First, I gotta get the data. You know? Can’t really do anything without the numbers. So, I started hunting around, you know, different websites.
I started putting everything into a simple spreadsheet. Nothing fancy, just columns for player names, games played, at-bats, home runs, RBIs, batting average – all the usual stuff. It took, ugh, forever, copying and pasting, making sure I didn’t mess up a row. My eyes were definitely starting to cross after a while!
But, getting all that raw data in one place? Super satisfying.
Sorting It Out
Then came the fun part (well, fun for a stats nerd like me). I started sorting the data. I wanted to see who led the team in each category. Like, who hit the most homers? (No surprise there, it was Olson!). Who had the highest batting average?

I used different colored highlighters to mark the leaders. Felt like I was back in school, but in a good way.
The Aha! Moments
After all that sorting and highlighting, a few things really jumped out at me:
- Power Surge: The sheer number of home runs the team hit was ridiculous! It wasn’t just one or two guys, it was like everyone was launching bombs.
- Consistent Hitting: It wasn’t just about the long ball. The team’s overall batting average was also really solid. That means they were getting hits consistently, not just relying on homers.
- Pitching was Key: While everyone talks about the hitting, the pitching staff was sneaky good too. The ERA (that’s Earned Run Average, for you non-baseball folks) was lower than I expected.
Doing this is make me see that the Braves weren’t just lucky in 2023. They were a genuinely great team, top to bottom. And yeah, it made me even more excited for the next season. Bring on the baseball!
