Air Supply Turfway Park: Get Ready to Rock! (Tickets, Dates & More)

Okay, so I’ve been wanting to see Air Supply live for, like, forever. And they were playing at Turfway Park, which is kinda close, so I was like, “This is it!” I grabbed my buddy, Mark, and we decided to make a whole day of it.

Getting Ready

First things first, I had to dig out my old Air Supply CDs. You know, get in the mood. Blasted “All Out of Love” while I got ready – gotta pre-game, right? Then, I spent like 20 minutes trying to find my lucky concert t-shirt. No luck. Settled for a plain black tee.

The Drive & Pre-Show Fun

The drive to Turfway Park was pretty chill. We jammed to some 80s tunes, reminiscing about the good old days. When we got there, the parking lot was already filling up. We found a spot, grabbed some surprisingly good hot dogs from a vendor, and just people-watched for a bit. So many Air Supply fans! It was awesome.

The Concert – FINALLY!

We got inside, found our seats (not bad, not bad!), and waited for the show to start. The opening act was some local band – they were alright, but everyone was there for the main event, obviously.

Then, the lights dimmed, the crowd roared, and BAM! There they were – Air Supply! They opened with “Even the Nights Are Better,” and the whole place went nuts. They sounded amazing – just like they did back in the day. Graham Russell’s voice is still incredible.

  • Highlight #1: They played “Lost in Love,” and everyone sang along. It was one of those magical concert moments.
  • Highlight #2: Russell did this awesome guitar solo during “The One That You Love.” Totally unexpected and totally rocked.
  • Highlight #3: Of course, they closed with “All Out of Love.” Confetti cannons, the whole nine yards. Epic!

Post-Concert Buzz

After the show, we were both buzzing. We hung around for a bit, hoping to maybe snag a t-shirt (still no luck on the lucky one!), but the lines were insane. We ended up just grabbing some water and heading back to the car, still singing Air Supply songs at the top of our lungs.

Honestly, it was one of the best concerts I’ve been to in ages. Totally worth the drive and the slightly-overpriced hot dogs. If you get a chance to see Air Supply, DO IT. You won’t regret it.
