Okay, so I was trying to get this “kill Squint” thing done in Stalker 2. I had heard about it, seen some vague mentions online, but no real solid guide. So, I figured, I’d dive in and figure it out myself, and maybe help some other folks out along the way.
Getting Started
First, I booted up the game. I’d already put in a good chunk of hours, so I wasn’t starting completely fresh. I loaded up my most recent save, making sure I had a decent amount of ammo and some medkits. You never know what’s gonna happen in the Zone, right?
Finding Squint
Next was tracking down Squint himself. I remembered a tip i saw online,He’s apparently hanging out in the cordon map area. I spent a good hour just wandering around, clearing out some mutants and generally just trying to survive.
I checked my map constantly, trying to remember where I’d seen him before.
The Confrontation
Finally,I found this guy,* just my luck, he was around enemies. So, I tried to play it stealthy at first. I crouched, used cover, the whole nine yards. Didn’t work. They spotted me pretty quick, and all hell broke loose.
The Firefight
It turned into a total mess of a gunfight. I was popping in and out of cover, trying to pick off the goons around Squint. I used my favorite shot gun at the time,It does the trick, it have nice damage.
I threw a couple of grenades – not my best throws, I’ll admit – but they did help clear out some of the enemies. I took a few hits, had to use a medkit, but I managed to stay alive.
Taking Down Squint
With most of his buddies down, I focused on Squint. He was tougher than the others, and he was using good weapon.I hit him, ducked back into cover, reloaded, and popped back out for another shot.I have to use my bandage to keep my * a few tense seconds,I get him done!He’s down.
The Aftermath
Once the dust settled, I looted the bodies – gotta get that sweet, sweet loot. Made sure Squint was actually down for the count. And that was it. Quest complete, I guess? It wasn’t some big, dramatic thing, but it was a fun little challenge.
So yeah, that’s how I took down Squint. Hope this helps someone else out there. It’s not rocket science, but it’s definitely a good time if you’re looking for a little action in Stalker 2.
