Okay, so today I decided to dig into Kim Hye-seong’s stats. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure where to start, so I just fired up my browser.

First, I tried a simple search. Just typed in “Kim Hye-seong stats” and hoped for the best. I got a bunch of results, but many of them were about, well, other stuff with a similar name. It took a bit of scrolling to filter through and find pages actually about baseball.
Then I found what I think is a pretty reliable source with player statistics.
I started by looking at the basic stuff: batting average, home runs, RBIs. I like to get a general sense of how a player is performing.
- Batting Average:This shows how often a player gets a hit compared to their at-bats.
- Home Runs:Self-explanatory, haha!
- RBIs: Runs Batted In, basically how many runs a player has driven in with their hits.
I spent a good chunk of time comparing the year-by-year stats. It’s cool to track a player’s progress and see if there are any big jumps or dips in performance. Then, I copied a table and paste to excel, it is very clearly to see the data.
After getting a handle on the basic stats, I moved on to some of the more advanced metrics, I found:

- OPS(On-Base Plus Slugging): Which combines on-base percentage and slugging percentage.
Finally, I successfully collected and organized all the data I needed.
