Okay, so I got this idea to recreate some iconic Michael Jordan looks. I’m no fashion expert, but I love MJ’s style, both on and off the court. So, I started by digging through the internet.
The Research Phase
I spent a good few hours just scrolling through old photos and videos. I wanted to find outfits that were recognizable, but also something I could potentially put together with stuff I already own or could easily get.
- First, I looked at a bunch of game photos. Needed to see those classic Bulls uniforms in action.
- Then, I started checking out his off-court style. Lots of suits, casual wear, and of course, those amazing ’90s outfits.
- Save a lot of pictures for later use.
Picking the Outfits
This was tough! There are so many great looks to choose from. Finally, I narrowed it down to three:
- The Classic Bulls Uniform: This is a no-brainer. Red jersey, black shorts, and of course, the shoes.
- The ’90s Casual Look: Think oversized shirts, baggy jeans, and maybe a baseball cap.
- The Sharp Suit: MJ always looked great in a suit. I figured I could try to recreate one of those looks.
Gathering the Clothes
Now for the practical part. I went through my closet to see what I already had. Surprisingly, I had a decent starting point for the ’90s casual look. I also checked out some local thrift stores and online shops for the other pieces.
- For the Bulls uniform, I found a replica jersey online. The shorts were easy to find too.
- The shoes were the tricky part. I didn’t want to spend a fortune, so I looked for some similar styles.
- The suit was the biggest challenge. I ended up borrowing a jacket from a friend and pairing it with some dress pants I already owned.
Putting it All Together
Finally, the fun part! I tried on each outfit and took some photos. It was pretty cool to see it all come together. I am very happy to got what I want finally.

- The ’90s casual outfit was super comfortable. Definitely something I’d wear again.
- The suit was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I have to admit, I felt pretty sharp.
Overall, this was a really fun project. It was cool to explore Michael Jordan’s style and try to recreate some of his most memorable looks. I’m not saying I nailed it, but I definitely had a blast trying!
