Okay, so I wanted to make a recipe that I saw online. It’s called “Yamamoto Phillies”. I’ve never heard of it before, but it looked interesting, so I gave it a shot.

First, I gathered all the ingredients. I didn’t have everything on hand, so I had to run to the store. It took me a while to find some of the stuff, like that weird sauce I’ve never seen before. I ended up getting:
- Some thinly sliced beef
- A couple of bell peppers
- An onion
- Some kind of Japanese seasoning, I think
- That special sauce I mentioned
- And some cheese, the recipe called for provolone but I just used what I had at home
After I got everything, I started prepping. I sliced up the veggies, not too thin, not too thick. Then I opened up that package of beef. It looked pretty good, all ready to go.
Cooking Time
I heated up some oil in a big pan. Once it was hot, I threw in the onions and peppers. I stirred them around until they got a little soft. Then, I added the beef. I had to break it up a bit with a spoon ’cause it wanted to stick together. I sprinkled in some of that Japanese seasoning. I’m not really sure what it is, but it smelled interesting.
I kept cooking everything, stirring it now and then, until the beef was cooked through. That sauce went in next. I poured it all over the beef and veggies and gave it a good mix. I let it simmer for a few minutes so the flavors could get all happy together. The whole kitchen started to smell pretty darn good, I have to say. I tried it, and it tasted good!
The last step was the cheese. I sprinkled a bunch of it on top and let it melt into this gooey mess. When it was all melted, I scooped the whole thing onto a plate.

It was ready to eat! Not bad for a first try. I might change it up next time, maybe add some different veggies or try that provolone cheese. But yeah, “Yamamoto Phillies” is alright. I’d make it again for sure.
