Okay, so, I’ve been keeping an eye on this whole “pitchers and catchers report 2024” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride. I’m not a pro or anything, just a regular guy who likes baseball, but I figured I’d share my little adventure with you all.
First off, I had to figure out what this whole “pitchers and catchers report” even meant. I mean, I watch baseball, but I’m not deep into all the lingo. Turns out, it’s basically the start of spring training. You know, when the guys start practicing before the real games begin.
So, I started digging around to find out when this was all going down. I saw some stuff online about February 14th being the big day for pitchers and catchers to show up, and then the whole team getting together on the 19th. Seemed simple enough, right?
Checked out where my favorite team, the Arizona Diamondbacks, were setting up shop. Looks like they’re at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. Pretty cool spot, from what I hear.
Then I got a little antsy, you know? Spring training felt like it was just around the corner, and I was itching for some baseball action. I even started marking down dates on my calendar like a little kid waiting for Christmas.
Saw a couple of articles talking about how this is the official kickoff for the 2024 MLB season, and that got me even more pumped. I started daydreaming about all the games I’d watch, the hot dogs I’d eat, the whole shebang.
Now, I’m just kinda waiting for that first spring training game. I heard it’s gonna be against the Rockies on a Saturday. I don’t know, there’s just something about those first games that feels special.
Anyway, that’s my little journey with this “pitchers and catchers report” thing. It’s not much, but it’s been fun for me. Just a regular guy getting excited for some baseball. Hope you guys are looking forward to it too!
