Okay, so the other day, I wanted to watch a Kings game. I’m not a huge sports fanatic or anything, but sometimes you just get in the mood, right? So, I’m flipping through channels, and I’m like, “Where the heck is this game?”

First, I checked all the usual sports channels. You know, the ones that usually have basketball games on. Nothing. I thought maybe I got the time wrong or something. Nope, the game was definitely on.
Then, I remembered this thing called NBC Sports California. Apparently, if you don’t have cable, you can find it on stuff like FuboTV and YouTube TV. I don’t have cable, but I do have YouTube TV, so I went over there.
- Opened up the YouTube TV app on my TV.
- Searched for “NBC Sports California.”
- And boom! There it was, the Kings game, live.
Here’s what I did:
I also found out about something called NBA League Pass. It has a bunch of live games and even NBA TV. They have a free trial thing going on, so you could check that out. But I didn’t end up needing it.
Oh, and I saw some betting info, like the Warriors were the favorites by 2.5 points, with a moneyline of -150. I don’t really bet, but I guess that’s good to know if you’re into that.
Then I used this thing called TV Guide to see the full TV listings schedule for the Kings episodes, so I know when to catch them live. Pretty convenient.

I read that the 76ers lost to the Kings back in March 2024. I didn’t see that game, but it sounded exciting.
There’s also an Oilers vs. Kings game coming up on December 28, 2024. It’s going to be on ESPN+, at the * Arena in Los Angeles. Might be worth checking out.
And for those of you in Canada, if you want to watch Flames vs. Kings, you can stream it live with Amazon Prime Video as part of their Prime Monday Night Hockey. I guess that’s a thing now.
So yeah, that’s how I figured out where to watch the Kings game. It took a bit of digging, but I finally got there.
It’s crazy how many different ways there are to watch sports these days. You’ve got cable, streaming services, special passes, and whatever else. It’s a lot to keep track of! But hey, at least we’ve got options, right?
