Okay, so I had this idea to create a scoreboard for the Redskins, ’cause, you know, I’m a huge fan and all.

I figured, why not? Let’s dive into this project and see what happens. I started by just, like, gathering some info about what a Redskins scoreboard even has. Found some videos, looked at the Bleacher Report, and even checked out some highlights on .
Then I spent some time looking at highlights from that Monday Night Football game where the Eagles crushed the Redskins. Ouch. But it gave me some ideas for what to include in my scoreboard.
Next Up: Building
So I started sketching out some rough designs. Nothing fancy, just getting a feel for the layout and what I wanted to display. Then, I did a little research on how to actually build this thing. I mean, I’m not exactly a tech wizard, but I figured I could learn.
Challenges Galore
It wasn’t all smooth sailing, though. I ran into a few snags. Figuring out how to get the data to update in real-time was a big one. And making sure it looked good on different devices? Don’t even get me started. And then the design? How to make that look good while showing all the scores?
Finally
But you know what? I didn’t give up. I kept tinkering, and trying different stuff out, asking questions on online forums when I got stuck. It was a lot of trial and error, that’s for sure.

Aha Moment
And then, it finally started coming together. The scores were updating, the design looked pretty decent, and it actually worked! I was so stoked. The feeling you get when you finally make something work after all that effort is just amazing.
I shared it with some other Redskins fans online, and they seemed to dig it. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine, you know? And I learned a ton in the process.
Lessons Learned
If there’s one thing I learned from this whole thing, it’s that you don’t have to be an expert to create something cool. Just gotta be willing to put in the time, learn as you go, and not be afraid to make mistakes. And maybe be a little obsessed with the Redskins, haha. As the punter Tress Way said, “We just freaking win.” I guess that applies to projects, too!
- Started with research, looking at highlights and other scoreboards.
- Sketched out some designs and figured out the tech stuff.
- Ran into some challenges with real-time updates and cross-device compatibility.
- Kept at it, asked for help, and finally got it working!
- Shared it with other fans and felt pretty darn proud.
So yeah, that’s my Redskins scoreboard story. It was a wild ride, but totally worth it. Go Redskins!
