My Little Quest for Some Mavs Pictures
Okay, so the other day I found myself needing some pictures of the Mavs. Nothing fancy, just wanted something, you know, for maybe a quick post or just to have. Seemed simple enough, right?
First thing I did, naturally, was just jump on the computer. Typed in the usual stuff, “Dallas Mavericks pictures”, “Mavs game photos”, that kind of thing. And wow, tons of stuff popped up. Like, pages and pages.
But here’s the thing…
A lot of them were, well, not quite what I was looking for. Or they had those annoying watermarks plastered all over them. Understandable, people gotta protect their work, but it wasn’t useful for what I needed. Some were really old pictures too, from way back when. Needed something a bit more current.
So, I started getting a bit more specific. Tried searching for specific players, like “Luka Doncic action shot” or “Kyrie Irving picture”. That narrowed it down a bit. Found a few decent ones this way.
I spent maybe, I don’t know, 20 minutes clicking through different sites? Some were news sites, some were fan pages. It was a bit of a dig.
- Checked image search engines first.
- Then tried more specific player names.
- Looked at a few official team-related places, but often those are more for news articles.
- Avoided anything that looked super low quality or blurry.
Eventually, I managed to snag a couple that were pretty good. Clear shots, decent action, no massive watermarks right in the middle. Saved them into a folder on my desktop.
It wasn’t rocket science, obviously. But it took a bit more sifting than I first thought it would. Just goes to show, even finding a simple picture can turn into a little project sometimes. Anyway, got what I needed in the end, so that’s the main thing.
