Getting Started with Phase Strike
Alright, so I finally got some time to really dig into this ‘Phase Strike’ thing in Girls Frontline 2. Heard some folks talking about it, figured I’d give it a shot myself. Wasn’t sure what to expect, just booted up the game like usual.

First thing, I jumped into the mission menu where they listed it. Looked like a series of challenges, maybe? The description was kinda vague, just mentioned intense combat scenarios. Okay, fine by me.
My First Attempts
I went in with my standard team, the one I use for most content. You know, my go-to dolls. Didn’t really change tactics much for the first run. And yeah, that was a mistake. Got absolutely hammered on the second wave. These enemies hit harder, and seemed smarter, using cover way better than the usual mobs.
Back to the drawing board. Clearly, my usual ‘run and gun’ wasn’t gonna cut it here. Needed to be more careful. I spent some time looking at the enemy types listed for the next try. Seemed like there were a lot of heavily armored units and some tricky sniper types.
Adjusting the Strategy
So, I decided to switch things up. Here’s kinda what I did:
- Swapped out one of my damage dealers for a doll with more armor-piercing capability. Figured that would help with the big guys.
- Brought in a doll with some crowd control ability. Something to maybe stun or slow down a group, give me breathing room.
- Made a mental note to focus fire. Instead of spreading damage, try to take down threats one by one, starting with those snipers.
Went back in. This time felt a bit better. Used cover a lot more, moved slower, really watched the action points. Made sure my dolls were positioned well before ending the turn. The armor-piercing helped, definitely. Those big units went down faster. The crowd control skill was also clutch, stopped a nasty flank once.

Still wasn’t easy, mind you. Failed again, but got much further. Seemed like resource management – action points, skill cooldowns – was super important. Couldn’t just spam abilities.
Finally Clearing It
Took maybe… four or five solid attempts? Lost count. Each time I learned a bit more about the enemy spawns and AI patterns. They liked to focus fire on exposed dolls, so keeping everyone in cover or using skills to mitigate damage was key.
The breakthrough came when I really focused on positioning and using overwatch effectively. Setting up kill zones before the enemies even moved into them. It felt slow, real tactical, not like the faster pace I was used to sometimes. But hey, it worked.
Finally got through the last wave. Enemies were tough, had a lot of health, but by then I had the rhythm down. Focus fire, use skills wisely, stay in cover. Simple stuff on paper, harder in practice.
Final Thoughts
So yeah, that was my run through the Phase Strike thing. It was challenging, definitely made me think more tactically than usual. Took some trial and error, tweaking the squad and approach. Felt pretty satisfying to beat it in the end. Got some materials, nothing game-changing, but the experience of figuring it out was the main reward, I guess. If you’re trying it, my advice is just be patient, watch enemy moves, and don’t be afraid to change your team and strategy if the first one doesn’t work.
