Stumbling onto Black Butler Again
Right, so the other day, I was just scrolling, minding my own business, and bam! Saw something about “Black Butler Season 4”. Honestly, my first thought was, “Wait, they’re still making that?” I watched the old stuff ages ago. Remembered liking it, Ciel being all moody and Sebastian doing his demon butler thing. Good times, but felt like a lifetime ago.
Naturally, curiosity got the better of me. Had to check it out. So, I fired up the old search engine. Typed in the usual suspects: “black butler season 4”, “new black butler anime”, that kind of stuff. You know how it is, wading through pages of fan theories and clickbait first.
Cutting Through the Noise
Took a bit of digging. Lots of conflicting stuff out there. Some sites yelling it’s season 4, others calling it by a different name. Finally pieced it together – seems like most folks are calling this the “Public School Arc”. Apparently, it’s adapting a chunk of the manga that hadn’t been animated before. Okay, makes sense. Less a ‘Season 4’ and more a new series picking up the story.
Then came the real fun part: finding where to actually watch the darn thing. You’d think it’d be easy, right? Nope. Checked my usual spots, nada. Had to ask around a bit, virtually speaking. Took longer than I’d like to admit. Why can’t they just make it simple?
Giving It a Go

So I sat down, booted up the first episode. Airing started Spring 2024, I gathered. Gotta say, it felt familiar. The art looks cleaner, more modern maybe, but still definitely Black Butler. Sebastian’s still smooth as ever, Ciel’s still got that look. The whole school setting threw me off for a second, wasn’t expecting that, but hey, change is good sometimes.
