Okay, so I saw this “toaster Klay Thompson” thing going around, and I was like, “What the heck is that?” Turns out, it’s this whole meme about Klay Thompson signing a toaster back in 2017, and then the Warriors went on this crazy winning streak. Superstition, right? I had to try it.
First, I grabbed my trusty old toaster. It’s nothing fancy, just a regular two-slice toaster I’ve had for years. It’s seen better days, honestly, a little bit rusty, but hey, that adds character, right?
The Signing
Next, I needed something to sign it with. I rummaged through my junk drawer and found a Sharpie. Perfect! I decided to keep it simple, just “Klay” and the number “11” on the side of the toaster, because drawing is not my strong suit.
- Find a toaster.
- Get a Sharpie.
- Write “Klay” and “11”.
I carefully wrote on the cold, metal surface. It felt kinda weird, to be honest. Like, am I really doing this? But hey, I’m committed now.
The Results (So Far)
Okay, so I haven’t exactly gone on a “winning streak” like the Warriors. My life is pretty much the same. I did make some pretty good toast this morning, though. Maybe that’s the magic working? Or maybe it’s just a regular toaster. I guess time will tell, and it needs more time for the test. I will keep an eye on it.
It’s all a bit silly, but it’s fun. And who knows, maybe this toaster is lucky. If anything major happens, I’ll be sure to update you guys.
