 LifeCell International to host first of its kind Antenatal Workshop in Chennai

The early stages of pregnancy can often be a time of many emotions, questions and concerns and a professional advice and knowledge sharing is a must need to ease off with this state. Owing to the nuclear family structure which is popular in metros today, pregnant women are devoid of
clear and right advice on how to handle pregnancy, from their elders. LifeCell International being the pioneers in the stem cell banking, research & therapy in India, takes the initiative & considers this as their responsibility to ensure that every pregnant woman has an enjoyable and safe pregnancy.
With this motive LifeCell International, is holding a first of its kind all-free one-day Antenatal program for expectant mothers in Chennai. LifeCell is organizing this practical and informative class at Hotel Accord Metropolitan, G N Chetty Road, T. Nagar, Chennai – 600 017 on 23.11.2008 from 2.00 to 5.00 pm. The session will be conducted by Ms Rekha Sudarsan, Physocologist, Child birth educator and lactation consultant who is an expert trainer for mothers-to-be in pregnancy management.
The educational prenatal program will share tips and tools for the to-be-moms on the care and precautions that are needed before, during and post pregnancy to ensure good health of both mother and the child. The program will give an overview about pregnancy, and discuss about varied topics related to pregnancy like hormonal changes, diet and nutrition and share tips on maintaining a healthy outlook during pregnancy. The workshop will emphasize on the benefits of breast feeding and routine exercises and include sessions on birth preparation, handling fear of labour and share tips for normal delivery with the participants.
LifeCell has been conducting many such programs for expectant mothers in association with Hospitals, however this will be their first ever initiative to reach out to all the expectant mothers in the city. Modern Indian women rely on books, and look up at peers for suggestions; however a professional approach is an at-most necessity to handle these delicate times.
