Author Kuzhali Manickavel engages audience in an interesting session at Odyssey, Adyar
Odyssey, India’s premier leisure store chain, along with Blaft Publications launched a short fiction ‘Insects Are Just Like You and Me Except Some of Them Have Wings’ and also held a book reading session by author
Kuzhali Manickavel, at the Odyssey store in Adyar today.
An ‘Insect Carnival’ was also organized after the launch of Kuzhali's book. Blaft Publications in a unique display showcased boxes of insects that have been loaned from the Zoological Survey of India. Also, a couple of posters about entomology were on display at the venue. In a live demonstration that followed, a microscope was used to look at the two species of mites that live on everybody's forehead.
About Kuzhali Manickavel
Kuzhali Manickavel was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, lived in various places around Canada, and moved to Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India when she was thirteen years old. Her fiction has appeared in literary journals published in Nigeria, Italy, Canada, the USA, India, and cyberspace. Contrary to popular belief, she is not very much fond of insects.
