 Action above the ordinary with Oscar nominated movies in ‘Martial Arts Weekend’ on World Movies

World Movies, India’s only international channel from UTV Network, presents Martial Arts Weekend on 20th and 21st June. Martial Arts Weekend showcases Zhang Yimou’s award winning, contemporary, action-packed HERO and HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS.
HERO starring Jet Li and Ziyi Zhang is the most expensive Chinese movie till date. The
movie has won 21 awards & boasts of 19 nominations. HERO is the first foreign language film to open at number one at the US box office and nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at Oscars.
HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS was the official selection at Cannes Film Festival 2004. The movie has to its credit 16 prestigious awards and 33 nominations. Shot in Ukraine for its climatic fight scenes, the movie was nominated for Best Cinematography at Oscars. Hong Kong's most commercially successful film actor, Andy Lau and Ziyi Zhang with a string of Chinese and international hits to her name have starred in this international box-office hit.
